Luminescent Characteristics and Synthesis of Y3Al5O12:Eu3+ Red Phosphors

In this study, Y3Al5O12:Eu3+ red phosphors were synthesized at different temperatures using a solid state reaction method. The crystal structures, surface and optical properties of the investigated Xray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), photoluminescence (PL) analyses. From XRD results, structure was determined to be cubic. maximum spectra observed for phosphor prepared by annealing 4h 1,700 °C. 565~590 nm photoluminescent is associated with 5D0 → 7F2 magnetic dipole transition Eu3+ ions. intensity in more dominant than electric increasing temperature. International Commission on Illumination (CIE) coordinates °C temperature are X = 0.5994, Y 0.3647.
